Miss C’s has an eye problem

Out teacher Miss C has a eye problem and she is going to see a doctor this afternoon his name is Dr Mike

Miss C: "Doctor mike I have an eye problem." "Do you know what it is?"

Dr Mike: "Well it looks like a blood vessel underneath your eye has popped. This is called subconjunctival hemorrhage."

Miss C:  "How long will I have this for?"

Dr Mike:  "This should clear after 10-20 days for the blood to resorbed. The blood is trapped and it will be resorbed through the conjunctival tissue."

Miss C: "Could this be cased by having the flue recently?"

Dr Mike: "Yes but it should clear as long as you don't rub your eye, but there is no treatment for this."

Miss C: "Thanks Dr Mike."

Dr Mike: "No worries"

Short story

  1. An ex-boyfriend, a pair of binoculars, and a good-luck charm.

Stacy and her friend Laura went on a long 3 day hike in the middle of nowhere. They only told their parents about the hike. Stacy and Laura loved hiking and their bird watching thats the main reason why the went on this hike.

Stacy dated a boy called Ricky and they loved to walk They broke up around 8 months ago. Stacy was so distraught when that happened so she decided to never walk without her lucky charm. The lucky charm was a 10 leafed clover and she found it when she was in Portugal 6 months ago. When she was on that holiday she saw Rickey on that holiday and she got a bit flustered when she saw him so she jumped in to the pool and make a big Splash.

The girls st of on the hike and they reached the first big sumit. They both got out a pair of binoculars to examine the scenery and there was Ricky sprinting up the mountain the girls SCREAMED and ran away from him. Rickey had a angry look on his face with a knife in his hand the girls. Ran as fast as the speed of light. The girls found a gun and a cross bow and ran down to meat Ricky and BANG Stacy shot him the girls fled the scene and disappear of the face of the earth…

Homework Week 2

 Game A

Throw two dice and add the top two numbers together
  • Player 1 wins when the result is an odd number
  • Player 2 wins when the result is an even number

Results showing game A.

Player A
7
Player B
10

Who is more likely to win:

A) Player 1       B) Player 2       C) Both players are equally likely

Explain your answer.
C

I think C because There is a 50/50 chance of winning so that is why I think C.

Game B

Throw two dice and multiply the top two numbers together

  • Player 1 wins when the result is an odd number
  • Player 2 wins when the result is an even number

Results showing game B.

Player A
36
9
25
Player B
9
16
36

Who is more likely to win:

A) Player 1      B) Player 2      C) Both players are equally likely

Explain your answer.
B.
Player 2 is my answer. I think this because the probability of player 1 and player 2 winning is actually different. I have set up and a times table sheet & highlighted the odd numbers in purple. As you can see below the odd numbers (Highlighted in purple) that are multiplied, there is a lot less then the even ones (in blue). I calculated that the  probability of player 1 winning is 9\39, The probability of Player 2 winning is 27\36, and that's my theory to my answer.

Play Game A 50 times and record your results

Player A wins: 30 times
Player A looses: 20 times

Player B wins: 28 times
Player B looses: 22 times

Do your results show that this game is fair?
 yes/no?

Explain your answer.

Yes.
I think this because, The results were really close between player 1 & player 2, I think this shows that it is fair because if the game wasn't fair the results would have a bigger range.

Play game B 50 times and record your results

Player A wins: 12
Player A looses: 38

Player B wins: 38
Player B looses: 12

Do your results show that this game is fair?
yes\no?

Explain your answer.
No.

I think this because, as I said before the probability of getting an odd when rolling 2 dice and multiplying is 9\36 as for getting an even number is 27 \36. Therefore if Player A had to win by getting odd number first they would have a lot less chance of winning then player B who had to get an even number to win.

GeoGuessr

Today for our blog post we had to play this game called GeoGuessr . In this game you get a photo and you have to guess where it is in the world.

The pictures come off google maps and this game is to test your geography skills.
For instance you get a picture and you need to answer it with this map.

Tips: The tips you have are the landscape in the picture can give you a clue e.g. There is a desert in the photo the most common places for a desert is in America and Africa.
Another one is there could be a billboard and that could give you a clue.
